Back To School Teacher's Gift

It is that time of year when the kids are headed back to school, seeing old friends and meeting new teachers. If you are looking for that small gift for your children to give their new teacher you might be interested in this little project. Filled with Post It Notes and a pen it will be a welcome addition to any teacher's desk. The inspiration came from Here is a link to Sam's project. I've resized the project and the best part is you can get two boxes from one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 inch cardstock.

Measurements and Scoring

Cardstock measures - 5 x 8 1/2 inches
Score Long Side@ - 2 3/8, 3 1/8, 5 3/8, 6 1/8 inches
Score Short Side@ - 3/4, 4 1/4 inches
DSP - 2 pieces 2 3/4 x 3 1/4

Do all of the scoring. Before folding adhere your DSD to the panels as shown below.

Remove the small squares on each of the long sides.

With the short side closest to you and the DSP on facing the table fold on the second score line from the bottom then fold the first score line back on itself. Do the same on the other side. Fold and burnish remaining score lines.
Adhere two center flaps to the box floor.

Adhere the two sections on either side of the center to the box floor.
Adhere box sides together.

Decorate the box. This would be a great place to add the teacher's name, grade level and year or a stamped image.
