Jack O' Lantern Treat Box

This year I am determined to start my holiday planning and crafting early. I will be using this blog to capture the projects I do for Halloween and Christmas this year. I hope you keep checking in to see what is happening in the studio.

I love giving the special kids (young and old) in my life Halloween treats that are all dressed up for the holiday. These cute little Jack o' Lanterns are not my creation. I wish I could give credit to the crafter that originated this idea but there are so many examples of it on Pinterest that I wouldn't know who to credit.

I used the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlit from Stamping Up to cut the pumpkin. You can either cut the full die or position it so you only cut the portion needed.  Trim at the score line. I also removed about 1/4" from the bottom of each shape.

With a piece of cardstock that measures 3 3/4" x 3 1/2" score at 1" on all sides. This will create the box to hold the treats. After scoring cut up to the first score line on  two opposite sides. Burnish all score lines and glue tabs inside the box.

I used my Cricut to cut the Jack O' Lantern face but a large stamp would be just as good or you could draw the face on.  I used Tip Top Taupe  to sponge around to edges for some dimension.

Attach the two pieces of the pumpkin using liquid adhesive.  And then attach the box and fill with treats.

I used ribbon to close the top. I think the green ribbon give the feel of leaves.

Happy Halloween
