The little book is super simple. I put the ribbon on the inside as I didn't want it to show.

Affectionately Yours Bag

When I buy DSP stacks I know there will be at least one sheet that I am not crazy about. So I am making it a goal to find ways to use those sheets and not let them stack up. For this project I stamped over a sheet from the Affectionately Yours stack. For the bag in the photo above I used Calypso Coral and Peekaboo Peach with spots of Emerald Envy. In the video I am using the other side of the sheet and stamping with Night of Navy and Dapper Denim.

Supplies

6 x 6 inch DSP
Perfectly Wrapped stamp set
Ink - Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy
         Night of Navy, Dapper Denim
Tree Builder Punch

Perfectly Wrapped Shaker Box

Shaker cards are so much fun to make and give but I really prefer making 3D projects. So I decided to combine the two and make a very sturdy 2 x 2 x 4 inch box that is tapered at the top. I kept the decoration on the box very simple to put the focus on the shaker component.

I created a small plastic bag to hold the sequins using a fusing tool but you can do the same thing using acetate and double sided tape. I demonstrate that technique in the video so if you don't have a fusing tool not to worry.

The supplies needed are:

8 1/2 x 9 1/2" cardstock - I used Sweet Sugarplum and Dapper Denim by Stampin Up
Scrap of a coordinating color cardstock for the ring - I used Rich Razzleberry and Emerald Envy
Scrap of Whisper White for stamping
Daffodil Delight for the bird
Sequins
Magnets
Bird Builder Punch
1/2" circle punch
Glue Dots
Fuse
Double Sided Tape
2 pieces acetates 1 7/8 x 2 1/4
Simply Scored Board
Steel Ruler

Score on the long side @ 2, 6 and 6 1/2
Score on the short side @ 2, 4, 6, 8 and score from the second horizontal score line at 3 and 7 down to about the 6 1/2 inch mark on the side ruler of your score board. Remove the paper from the score board and score from the bottom of the partial score lines to each corner form a triangle.  See the video for details on the partial scoring.

I hope you enjoyed today's project. If you would like to purchase any of the supplies used or any other Stampin Up project please visit my online store by clicking the button at the top of the page.

Bee Mine Bubblegum Box

It is almost summer break and the kids will be out of school. So time to get that package off to the grandchildren with little boxes and bags to open and fun things to do. This box holds a pack of Trident Bubblegum! How many chews until you can't taste it anymore? Start counting.

The Pun Intended stamp set is one of the new hostess gifts Stampin Up is offering in the new catalog. Today I used the bee and the Bee Mine stamps with a touch of Wink of Stella to give the bee's wing that iridescent look.
Stampin Up supplies needed:

5 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch Daffodil Delight Cardstock
2 x 3 inch Basic Black cardstock
2 x 3 inch Whisper White cardstock
Daffodil Delight ink pad

Clear Wink of Stella
Ribbon
1 3/4 inch circle punch
2 inch circle punch
Corner Rounder punch
1/4 circle punch
Adhesive
Dimensionals
Pun Intended Stamp Set

Love You Lots Treat Bag

It is nice to have some treat bags ready  to fill at a moments notice but the problem is storage. Today's project is a nicely sized bag that will hold a good sized bag of treats or a small gift and the best part is it stores flat. Add that to how fast I can make a dozen of these bags and I have a winner.

The supplies needed are:

6 x 12 inch DSP - I used Stampin Up Affectionately Yours from the new 2016 - 2017 catalog
Scrap of coordinating cardstock for punching - I used Mint Macaron
Scrap of Whisper White for stamping
Ribbon
Twine
Snail or adhesive of your choice
Simply Score Board
2" circle punch
2 3/8" scalloped circle punch (retired)
1/4" handheld circle punch
Love You Lots Stamp Set
Black Archival Stamp Pad
Mint Macaron Stamp Pad

Score the long side at 5 and 7 inches
Score the short side at 1 1/2 and 4 1/2
The few extra folds at the top of the bag jazz it up a bit but are not necessary. The video will demonstrate making the folds.

Make the bags in a variety of papers and colors and you will always have some special packaging on hand for those last minute gifts.

Confetti Celebration Gift Card Holder

Graduations, weddings, birthdays and other special occasions are the perfect time for giving gift cards. Today we will create a wallet holder for all of those gift cards you will be giving to special people.

The holder looks like it would be more complicated than it really is. You can get two holders from one sheet of cardstock and each wallet will hold two gift cards or a gift card and a small card.

Stampin Up supplies used:

4 1/4 x 11 Peekaboo Peach cardstock
3/4 x 5 1/2 in Peekaboo Peach Cardstock for belly band
3 x 4 inch Peekaboo Peach for punches
3 x 3 inch Whisper White for stamping
Peekaboo Peach ink pad
DSP - 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 and 2 x 3 1/2 (I used Wildflower Fields which is retired)
Large oval punch
Adhesive
Confetti Celebration stamp set
2" circle punch
2 3/8" scallop circle punch (Stampin Up had retired the scalloped punches but the new framelits will work perfectly.)

Score on the long side @
1 3/4, 2, 4 1/4, 6 1/2, 8 3/4
Score on the short side @
1/4 turn 180 degrees and score at 1/4

If you want to make the small card to go inside use a 3 x 4 inch piece of cardstock scored on the long side at 2".

Affectionately Yours Lipstick Box

This little box started life as a way to gift wrap a tube of lipstick and coordinate with a Thank You card. But when decided to to post the box directions I wanted it to have some alternative uses. Sitting on my desk was a bottle of Stampin Up reindeer and as I slipped the bottle inside of the box I knew this would be the perfect content for the box. A great way to give a fellow stamper, a customer or downline a gift of their favorite color ink.

The Thank You card that matches the original box can also be found on my blog.

I am using new products from Stampin Up for both of the boxes.

Supplies:

4 1/4 x 5" cardstock - I used Crumb Cake and Night of Navy
Scraps for punching - Night of Navy and Peekaboo Peach
Whisper White for stamping
4 pieces of 3/4 x 2 3/4" DSP, 2 pieces 1/2 x 3/4" DSP - I used Affectionately Yours
Adhesive
Score Board
Itty Bitty Accent Flower Punch (retired)
Petite Petals Punch
Rhinestones
Mini Clothes Pin

Score on the short side at 1, 2, 3,4
Score on the long side at 1, 4, 4 1/2

Add DSP to all four sides.

Affectionately Yours Thank You Card

Crumb Cake and Night of Navy make a perfect color combination for cards. The new Affectionately Yours DSP has some gorgeous patterns that use Night of Navy. The pattern I choose for this card went perfectly with the Beautiful Bunch stamp set. This set is retired but I'm sure you could find a flower pattern in another set that would also looking striking when paired with this paper.

The card case is a standard 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded on the long side at 4 1/4. The DSP is 5 1/2 x 2. The sentiment panel is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 with all of the corners rounded. It is adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

Later in the week I will be posting directions and a video for a small box that matches this card.

If you would like to order any of the supplies listed or any other Stampin Up product please visit my online store by clicking the Shop Online button above.

Pop of Pink Box

Today's project uses some of the new products coming from Stampin Up June 1, 2016. Flirty Flamingo is one of the new In Colors for 2016-2018. The Pun Intended stamp set will be available as a hostess gift! And the DSP used in the project is from the Pop of Pink DSP pack.

The box was designed to hold a Lego mini figure packet. The box I demonstrate in the video is just a little different than the black box above. I changed up the top so that it was more of a flat flap.

For the project you need:

8 1/2 x 7 1/2 inch cardstock - I used Basic Black for one of the boxes and Flirty Flamingo, a new In Color for the other box.
2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch DSP
1 3/4 x 3 1/4 inch DSP - I used Pop of Pink for both of the boxes. This is also a new product.

Score on the
long side @ 1/2, 4, 4 1/2, 8
Short side at 1/2, 4, 4 1/2 and 8.

Fold and burnish all of the score lines. Remove the sections as shown below. Attach the DSP to the front and top flap. Adhere the box at the side and bottom.  I used magnets to close the box but you could also use velcro, a belly band or ribbon. Remember if this is for a small child don't use the magnets.

I hope you enjoyed today's project.

Fun Flower Reminder Clip

A couple of weeks ago I was in Home Depot checking out garden supplies. I happened to walk by the 3M Command hook display and stopped to see if there was anything new. I love Command hooks and will always buy any new styles. And yes there was something new - a fat, squat plastic clothes pin! It is meant to hold small cables like phone chargers but I saw a reminder clip that I could put on the wall by my desk and on the computer monitor. I got them, took them home and tossed the box on my desk.  Fast forward to today when I decided it was time to clean up my work space. While cleaning I found some extra flowers from a project I did a couple of weeks ago and the reminder clips. So as any good crafter would do I put them together!

The flowers were made with the Stampin Up Fun Flower punch, Beautiful Bunch stamp set and clear embossing powder.

Here is a view of the clip.

I love how it looks hanging on my wall.

Yankee Candle Easy Meltcup Box

Wax melts are a great way to add a lovely fragrance to your environment but cleaning out the melting pot is not one of my favorite things to do. Enter Yankee Candle and the MeltCups. Pop the whole cup into the electric melter and you have lovely scents and no mess. The beautiful pots will make a great gift with a couple of the MeltCups. And that deserves a beautiful box for presentation.
